Attention all Axe men

https://youtu.be/SuGKgiFo6Hw

The intended audience for this product is obviously anyone who enjoys Axe products. It also is there to give you a good laugh, whether you use the products or not. But you could also argue that it is hoping to grasp the attention of males who are interested in good smelling body wash, and want more women than they can handle. I think they are trying to show their masculinity in the product to attract the typical "manly man". This video has everything a man ever wishes for in a one minute clip. This video contains;

  • Women frantic in search
  • Women that are beautiful
  • Women in bikinis
  • Women chasing one man
  • Women fighting over one man
So please tell me what man wouldn't want to use this product, if that is the intended effect. There isn't much text throughout the commercial, but I think they strictly want you focusing on the end effect product. At the very end it says "spray more, get more". To me this means the more Axe you use, the more women you will get. Which again is aimed at pleasing the users of this product. The overall purpose of this is to show how much better Axe is than any other company, and how when you use Axe you will have women crossing oceans to get to you. I think the commercial is successful, because Axe is one of the number one sellers for men's products. I think it also has an added element of humor, which draws in the attention of their viewers. I think with the combo of women, the one man, and the end text, the overall message is loud and clear. Use Axe and you can have any woman you want!

My intended audience for this photo would be for all of my friends and family, that have never been to cancun, that I wanted to share my experience with. They audience would be those that love the beach and the water as much as I do. Another audience would be those that enjoy taking vacations. I think that changing my picture to black and white would not take away from its beauty, but the color adds so much more to this picture. You cannot imagine this beautiful shades of blue on your own. It doesn't change the audience, but it would make it seem more serious and less picturesque. Some may even find this picture a little eerie in black and white because when I changed it, it reminded me of the movie Jaws. Which anyone who finds the movie Jaws as beautiful, has a skewed view of my kind of beauty. The title of my picture is "tranquility" which I believe would then change the audience's view a bit, because it would associate the picture with the way that view makes me feel. I think that people who do not enjoy the beach, or this view would have to disagree with the title.

Nursing student

I figured this would be the most relatable meme to make, and the most understandable. Most people are a nurse, know a nurse, or want to become a nurse. So we all have our idea of how things really are. I actually enjoyed making this, I found it pretty humorous. I tried to step outside and remember what life was like before it revolved nursing school (or on getting in the program). I found it fairly easy to find my pictures. My friends all think I could perform surgery at this point. My mom thinks all my time goes into studying. Society views college as just one big party. My professors think I’m a slacker. I think I’m overwhelmed with school work. But in all reality I just sit there and cry. (I’m sure many of you can relate). The only text that I changed was about the professors. It originally said “what my boss thinks I do”, but I didn’t find that appropriate because all my boss thinks I do is school work. So I figured changing it to professor would add some humor to it. I learned that everything you go through, just working your way towards being a nurse is TOTALLY worth it. Despite what everyone else may think!
